Those interested in learning about how to get rid of annoying and troubling stretch marks may be looking for the all-elusive perfect topical treatment. You have reached my Clarins Stretch Mark Control review page hoping that your search may be over.

For a slim number of people, this product just might be able to deliver sought after results. For the vast majority of persons, this cream will utterly fail to deliver on expectation. In fact, this might be a really awful to topical cream that offers no solution whatsoever.

What is Clarins Stretch Mark Control Cream?

As the name suggests, this is a topical cream designed to be applied to the skin where it will absorb beneath the surface and (supposedly) eliminate the presence of these marks. Unfortunately, this is not a product that really has the potential to deliver much in terms of results. More on that later in the review.

What Exactly Are Stretch Marks?

The ability to understand what the cream is and how it works, it is necessary to explain what exactly stretch marks are. The best way to describe them would be to call them red and purple scars. The reason it is best to describe them in this way is because that is what they are.

Topical creams might have the potential to reduce the presence of these marks and scars. Clarins Stretch Mark Control Cream is not one of them.

What is the Major Problem With Clarins Stretch Mark Control Cream?

Basically, this is a very weak cream and one that will not likely deliver results. Getting straight to the point, it is necessary to note that the only single reason anyone would use this cream would be to get rid of stretch marks.

If such results are not forthcoming, then there is no reason whatsoever to use the cream and waste money on it. Rather than employ a weak product that falters on the ability to deliver results, it would be much better to look towards acquiring a cream that just might be able to restore elasticity to the skin and eliminate the scars.

How Does This Particular Cream Supposed Work?

As with other topical products, this cream comes in an innocuous tube. The cream is intended to be applied to the skin and rubbed in. Rubbing the cream into the skin via circular motions would be the best way to ensure it covers the totality of the discolored skin.

This should be done at least twice a day. Four weeks would be the common amount of time those who have claimed to experience solid results from it. Those who are the most common consumers of this cream would be women who are pregnant.

This is where the claims of four weeks showed the most results. Whether or not these claims can be outright proven remains a matter of conjecture. A lack of scientific study can lead to solely going by basic claims based on consumers.

Such claims may have merit, but the weakness of this particular product leads to quite a bit of skepticism as to whether or not it will actually work.

The Ingredients Of The Cream

The core ingredients of this cream is pure plant extracts. Many will be interested in selecting a product that has been made from all-natural ingredients. Why select a product that has been made with unnatural or processed ingredients?

Yes, all-natural is good, but it would be better if the product actually works and this just might not be that product. This product claims its ingredients can help tighten skin and reshape the pore region of the body.

Claims and anecdotal evidence may sound good on the surface, but the truth remains there is no real benefit to anecdotes and claims.

    • This is not a very costly product
    • The cream is fairly easy to application to the skin
    • All-natural component to the ingredients

    • The effectiveness is questionable at best
    • Too many unscientific claims of effectiveness

The best thing that can be said about this product is it is easy to application. Beyond that, there is really nothing unique or special to it. The lack of any real proof of effectiveness further reduces its value. All in all, this is a 1.5 star product best avoided.

Stretch marks are certainly not the most appealing blemishes to have on the skin. If you have decided to take time out to read my Mama Mio Tummy Rub review, then you likely are dealing with the annoying presence of these marks.

You might also be at your wits end in terms of how to reduce their presence. Do not worry too much, Mama Mio Tummy Rub cream is a fairly good product and it just might be able to deliver the sought after stretch mark removal you are interested in.

What is Mama Mio Tummy Rub Cream?

Stretch marks are not exactly anything any person would want to appear on the skin. These marks are, in fact, scars that result from rapid weight gain. Blemishes on the skin just might be faded away with the right product.

Sadly, there are quite a large number of products that do promise the ability to eliminate stretch marks, but they simply do not even remotely deliver on their promises. Mama Mio Tummy Rub does not fall into such a category.

It represents a quality stretch mark butter that goes to work on the skin in an effective way. In time, proper application of the cream just might make stretch marks a problem you no longer have to worry or feel self-conscious about.

In 2007, this product did receive a very interesting accolade. It was named the Best Stretch Mark Cream by the readers of Gomama Today. Now, such a result is not one based on scientific study so no one should automatically assume this skin cream is officially the empirically best on the market.

However, as I previously mentioned, there are quite a number of really dubious (I mean, seriously dubious!) stretch mark cream products on the market. Any treatment method that is winning awards is likely to be a cut above the rest.

Parenting Magazine has also said positive things about the cream.

How to Apply It

The way in which this butter cream is to be applied requires really no obtuse or over the top steps. The cream has to be rubbed into the surface of the skin where the stretch marks appear. For those worried about getting stretch marks, rubbing the cream into high risk surfaces of the skin as a preventive step might be worth the investment.

Be sure to follow along with the recommended directions of how often to apply the cream and when. No matter what merits this cream may possess, the merits will be worthless if the cream is not being used and used regularly.

Consider this the most important piece of advice in my Mama Mio Tummy Rub review. For those worried about stretch marks after pregnancy, it is best to keep using it for up to four months after the baby is born.

On a side note, the manufacturer basically suggests to really lather up a huge amount of cream on the skin. This might not really be necessary and you have to be wary of how much cream goes on the skin, but does not absorb fully into it.

Excess cream will end up drying up which, in turn, means it will go to waste without every affecting the skin.

The Ingredient Stack

Quite a number of the ingredients in the cream are those which would be found in other stretch mark cream products. Consider this a good thing because ingredients such as Shea Butter have been known to deliver results.

Omegas 3, 6 & 9 fatty acids and Vitamin E are found in the ingredients thanks to the presence of numerous natural oils such as Sweet Almond, Wheatgerm, and Borage. All of these ingredients are put together into a single stack that offers good results.

    • The all-natural ingredients can be effective in reducing stretch marks
    • Product has received a number of awards

    • Not the most expensive, but not the cheapest product on the market
    • The amount of cream required to be put on the skin may be a bit much

Final Words

Mama Mio Tummy Rub might not be the very best stretch mark cream on the market, but it does deserve kudos for delivering results and winning awards. My rating? This one gets a solid three stars.

There are many wonderful things to look forward to when pregnant, but developing stretch marks is not one of them. However, stretch marks will be unavoidable, right? As your skin stretches, it would be difficult to avoid the onset of marks and scars.

Or is it?

With the right stretch mark prevention cream, the ability to avoid the presence of embarrassing and troubling stretch marks might very well be possible. Of course, you do have to get the best stretch mark cream with best being defined as one that works.

As you read my Melvita Stretch Mark Prevention Cream review, you will quickly discover this is clearly not the name brand cream you want to buy.

A Lack Of Effectiveness

The purpose of buying a stretch mark prevention cream is because you do not want to see stretch marks appear on the body. If the cream is not going to deliver on this result, then there really is no purpose whatsoever to buying the cream.

Melvita Stretch Mark Prevention Cream is simply not going to be effective. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but consider such wording to be a blessing in disguise. Wasting time and money would be the least of your problems if you bought the wrong stretch mark cream.

Rather than suffer from such woes, here is a better plan: look towards buying a cream that has a better chance of delivering results.

What Does Melvita Do?

As the name of the cream suggests, its goal and purpose is to prevent the skin from developing those annoying scars known as stretch marks. The manufacturer makes claims that the cream is able to repair, restore, and restructure the skin.

Also, the cream is intended to help firm and tone the skin while making it more supple. Another claimed benefit of the cream is that it can help restore softness to the skin. This seems like quite a number of attributes associated with a very simple cream.

Unfortunately, the claims are overstated. Really, they are a host of generalities and do not really nail down the specifics of what this product offers.

Applying the cream is pretty easy. All you have to do is dab it on areas that would be considered risky for stretch marks. Being consistent with the use of the cream would clearly boost its potential to be effective.

To Much For Too Little

The cost of a tube of this cream is about $32. On the surface, that might not be a huge sum of money to pay considering there are costlier products on the market. The problem is you only get 5 ounces of a cream that is dubious in quality for that sum.

To say you could do better and pay less would be an understatement. It also would be a good bit of consumer advice.

The Ingredient Stack: An Odd Mix

The ingredient stack of this particular cream is definitely unique, but is this a good thing? Sometimes, being different for different’s sake does not automatically equate to a good product. Often, the opposite is true.

The weird ingredients contribute to a less than effective skin cream. With Melvita Stretch Mark Prevention Cream, you get a product with strange ingredients such as:

    • Sea Buckthorn
    • Rosehip
    • Baobab
    • Inca Inchi Oils
    • Thyme Honey
    • Centella
    • Mamaku Fern
    • Chlorella

You might not see these ingredients in other products and, when you consider the ineffectiveness of Melvita, now you know why. On a side note, the ingredients are all organic (99%+ natural) and a number of users will deem this to be a vital attribute.

    • This is a fairly easy to apply skin cream
    • Some have reported good results

    • The overall effectiveness of the product is questionable
    • The cost is way too high

Certainly, I would have liked to have offered a Melvita Stretch Mark Prevention Cream review that would reveal tot he world the greatest new stretch mark cream has finally arrived on the market.

Sadly, I cannot as this is a weak overall cream and one best avoided. I give it 1.5 stars. Look for something else.
